The Benefits of Digital Signature

  1. It saves significant costs by avoiding shipping costs (postage / courier) and certification procedures (document validations), reducing printing costs, reducing the environmental footprint and eliminating the need for physical archiving.
  2. It saves time compared to the “hard copy” exchange of documents, which also leads to a better use of employees’ working hours and greatly reduces bureaucracy.
  3. It can be created using mobile devices (tablet, smartphone, ipad, iphone, laptop)
  4. It is easy to use and provides great flexibility in terms of document management, as it can be done anywhere and anytime without requiring a physical presence.
  5. It has the same legal force (P.D. 150/2001) with the handwritten signature, but with greater security because it is impossible to forge.
  6. It protects the authenticity and integrity of the data, as in combination with the timestamp, it ensures that the signer does not disclaim responsibility and allows the recipient of a document to verify the identity of the signer and ensure that its content has not been falsified.
